Lucia is available Thursdays and Fridays and is currently taking on new adult clients. Lucia’s approach aims to go beyond management strategies to collaboratively recognise and address clients’ core issues, including automatic negative thinking and self-limiting behaviour patterns to facilitate improved self-worth, emotional health and interpersonal relationships.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Lucia works primarily from an attachment perspective and is undertaking specialist training in a short-term dynamic psychotherapy called Affect-State Therapy (AST). AST works to help people identify, understand, and address underlying (cognitive, emotional and behavioural) patterns that stem from disrupted early life attachment experiences. Other therapies can be drawn upon including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectal Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

Lucia has worked with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds across the lifespan within various settings including private practice, high school, and private mental health hospitals.

In her spare time, Lucia keeps active with pilates and enjoys spending time in nature by going hiking and camping.
