Psychologist (General / Clinical) – Eating Disorders

About us

Lilley Place is expanding our Eating Disorders service and seeking a psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team in Indooroopilly. You’ll collaborate with psychologists, dietitians, mental-health social workers, EPs and trauma-informed yoga therapists to provide holistic, evidence-based, weight-inclusive and trauma-informed care for children, adolescents and adults.

The Role
  • Deliver assessment and therapy for ED presentations (AN, BN, BED, ARFID, body-image concerns)
  • Coordinate care with GPs/psychiatrists/dietitians; contribute to pathways and group programs
  • Optional mix of in-person and telehealth; flexible contractor hours

About you
  • AHPRA-registered Psychologist (General or Clinical) with Medicare eligibility
  • Experience/interest in ED treatment (e.g., CBT-E, FBT, ACT/DBT)
  • Commitment to weight-inclusive, trauma-informed, neuro-affirming practice and cultural safety

Paediatric Dietitian 

About Us

Our well-established multidisciplinary psychology and allied health clinic in Indooroopilly provides comprehensive mental health services for adults and children. Our supportive team includes psychologists, dietitians, mental health social workers, exercise physiologists, trauma-informed yoga therapists, all who work collaboratively to deliver holistic, evidence-based care. We are also the home of the Cancer Wellbeing Centre, which supports those affected by cancer diagnoses and their families.

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Non-Diet Dietitian to join our welcoming team as an independent contractorThis role offers you the flexibility to set your own hours and build your caseload based on the areas you’re most passionate about, while still being part of a collaborative and established practice.

We’re particularly looking for a clinician with a strong interest and experience in working with children under the age of 12 (but not limited to), including those with:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Food sensitivities and allergies
  • Low appetite and faltering growth
  • Disordered eating and eating disorders, in particular Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) presentations
  • Fussy or selective eating
  • Behavioural feeding challenges
  • Complex nutrition needs and disabilities

You’ll be providing evidence-based, practical support to families- many of whom are navigating challenging circumstances and are looking for reassurance, compassion, and guidance. Building trust and connecting with both children and their caregivers in a respectful, inclusive way is at the heart of this role.  

We’re guided by neurodivergent-affirming care principles, alongside a weight-inclusive, non-diet and trauma informed approach and we’re looking for someone who truly embraces these values in their clinical practice.  

Looking ahead, there are exciting opportunities to get involved in group nutrition sessions and cooking classes, bringing food and connection together in a fun, engaging way. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based nutrition consultations for children, families, and adults, in line with the Dietitians Australia Code of Conduct and Scope of Practice
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualised care plans tailored to a range of presentations 
  • Embrace a non-diet, weight-inclusive approach 
  • Provide care grounded in neurodivergent-affirming principles 
  • Work collaboratively with psychologists and other allied health professionals to provide coordinated care
  • Support clients with feeding and eating challenges including ARFID, disordered eating, and eating disorders under the age of 12 years old (but not limited to)
  • Educate and empower families navigating complex nutrition and feeding issues, including behavioural feeding difficulties and disability-related challenges
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary case discussions and communicate effectively with external care teams as needed
  • Accurately maintain confidential clinical documentation in accordance with professional, ethical, and legal standards
  • Stay up to date with current evidence and practice through continuing professional development (CPD) in line with DA requirements
  • (Optional future role) Facilitate group nutrition education sessions and hands-on cooking programs to support learning and engagement in a community setting
Essential Requirements
  • Current registration with Dietitians Australia (DAA) and Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status
  • Eligibility for Medicare Provider Number
  • Current professional indemnity and public liability insurance
  • Eligibility for an Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • Relevant working with children and police checks
  • Experience in assessing and treating paediatric nutrition concerns, including feeding difficulties and neurodivergent presentations
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, and written)
  • Commitment to ongoing professional learning and development
  • Willingness to conduct some after-hours and out-of-office appointments
  • Experience in private practice or community-based settings (desirable)
  • Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician (CEDC) (desirable)

Client Services – Reception Position

We are looking for someone to join our caring and professional Client Services Reception team, either in a casual or part-time capacity. The position is suited to someone who is passionate about helping our clients and community to feel better. 

About the Role

Tasks will include:
  • Welcoming/greeting clients into the clinic
  • Reception and front desk duties on a rotating roster (we are open 6 days with extended trading hours Wed & Thurs)
  • Answering high-volume phone calls promptly
  • Calendar and appointment co-ordination 
  • Liaising with psychology practitioners, health professionals, third parties, staff and clients
  • Management and processing a variety of complex accounts, including Medicare, NDIS, private health funds, W/C, DVA and third party accounts
Essential criteria include:
  • Experience with practice management software, POS, and Microsoft suites
  • Previous medical/healthcare experience in administration and customer relations
  • Computer literacy knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with clients and medical professionals
  • Highly professional, motivated and proactive attitude
  • An eye for detail and accuracy when completing tasks
  • Ability to prioritise, multi-task, work under pressure and acquire new knowledge quickly
  • Some availability to work Saturday and afternoon/evening shifts when needed
