ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Alex completed his Doctor of Clinical Psychology (DClinPsych) at the University of Queensland. He has experience working in the public health system, for non-government organisations, universities, and in private practice. This has included work with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults with a variety of concerns including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, alcohol and substance use problems, grief and loss, adjustment difficulties, schizophrenia, eating disorders, personality disorders, autism spectrum disorders, learning disorders, and child behaviour problems. Alex has a specific interest in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Complex Trauma. Alex is trained in a variety of treatment approaches and tailors these to clients’ specific needs and preferences. These treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Alex is an accredited provider of the Triple P Positive Parenting Program, The Secret Agent Society Social Skills Program, and has received specialist training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TfCBT).
In his spare time Alex most enjoys spending time with his family and friends, and his passions include travel, sport, and the outdoors.

Heather is invested in walking alongside her clients through life’s transitions. She’s currently awaiting her registration as a Provisional Psychologist, and can see a variety of clients for NDIS therapy, cognitive assessment and tailored home visits.

Sue has a strong and diverse background of training, and is passionate about making a positive difference to her clients’ lives. Sue guides clients to uncover what they want to achieve, and develop strategies to make it happen.

Gillian is a compassionate and sensitive therapist who has witnessed the benefit that therapy can have when you engage in the process of personal exploration and professional support. Gillian is curious about personal resilience, the process of psychological growth and the behavioural patterns that we can’t resist.
Psychological concerns are human concerns and we all deserve to feel well and that requires someone to hear our concerns, someone to listen.
