Gordon takes a holistic approach and explores the social, emotional and behavioural factors that impact on a client’s wellbeing, their illness and treatment. Gordon has experience in private practice clinics, private and public hospitals, community mental health rehabilitation, youth residential care, aged care, post-adoption support and primary health settings. He has experience working with adolescents presenting with anxiety, depression, and emotion regulation difficulties. Gordon also sees adults who experience depression, anxiety, chronic pain and other challenges. When working with clients, Gordon primarily draws upon Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). When not seeing clients, Gordon can often be found running along the Brisbane River or trying out a new restaurant somewhere in the city. He also enjoys performance arts, particularly dancing and music, and learning about different cultures.
