Assessment Process
Cognitive assessments help measure an individual’s intellectual abilities, learning potential, and cognitive strengths and weaknesses. These evaluations are often used to identify academic difficulties, guide educational support, and inform intervention strategies to enhance learning and development.

Diagnosis

- Clinical Interview 1 hour – A discussion to gather relevant background information.
- Questionnaires – Structured assessments to measure specific areas of functioning.
- Testing Session (s) 1-5 hours – Administration of cognitive, psychological, or other relevant tests.
- Scoring, Interpretation, and Report Writing – Analysis of results to develop a comprehensive understanding.
- Diagnosis Letter – a summary letter confirming diagnosis (without recommendations).
- Feedback Session 30 minutes –An overview of the psychological findings, highlighting key observations and offering initial suggestions for general next steps.
Brief
Report
(with tailored recommendations)
- Clinical Interview 1-2 hours – A detailed discussion to gather relevant background information.
- Questionnaires – Structured assessments to measure specific areas of functioning.
- Testing Session (s) 1-5 hours – Administration of cognitive, psychological, or other relevant tests.
- Scoring, Interpretation, and Report Writing – Analysis of results to develop a comprehensive understanding.
- Brief Report – a summary report (with tailored recommendations).
- Feedback Session 30-60 minutes – An informed discussion of the psychological results, identifying emerging patterns or behaviors, and proposing actionable next steps for intervention if required.
In most cases the cognitive summary is sufficient, however in some cases, a comprehensive report may be clinically indicated. Please discuss this with your clinician to understand your options.

- Comprehensive Report – a detailed evaluation of all psychological findings and diagnostic results (with a broad range of tailored recommendations).
- Feedback Session 60 minutes – A thorough analysis of the results, examining patterns, anomalies, and their broader impact, and providing detailed, evidence-based guidance for strategic next steps.
