Megan completed the Master of
Clinical Psychology program at the University of Queensland (UQ).
She has extensive experience and has worked in hospital, mental
health, institutional settings and private practice settings.
Megan pays attention to developing a positive working
relationship with clients, building on client strengths and
helping to bring about the changes clients are looking to
achieve. Megan sees clients with a range of presenting problems
including anxiety disorders (obsessive-compulsive, panic
disorder, agoraphobia, social anxiety, etc), depression,
relationship difficulties and provides couples therapy.
Megan holds full membership with the Psychology Board of
Australia (registration number: 980495) and is a clinical
psychology registrar. She is a full member of the Australian
Psychological Society (APS), an associate member of the APS
Clinical College and a member of the Australian Association for
Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy.
Megan previously graduated with an Honours degree in psychology
from UQ and went on to complete a two-year internship program
with the Psychologists Board of Queensland. During her
postgraduate study Megan’s training focused on Cognitive
Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and her research focused on acceptance
(as per Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; ACT) of a chronic
health condition. Megan received a Commonwealth Government HECS
Scholarship based on academic achievement and a Deans
Commendation for Academic Achievement. She has co-authored a
paper accepted by the health journal of the British
Psychological Society.
Megan has two small children and loves spending time with them
baking, walking and going on family outings.
