Claire is a clinical psychologist who completed her Doctorate of Clinical Psychology (Dpsych)(Clin) and Bachelor of Psychological Science (BA) (PsychSc)
at the University of Queensland. Claire holds full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), is a member of the
Australian Psychological Society (APS) and is recognised by Medicare as a provider of specialist clinical psychology services. These memberships allow
Claire to stay abreast of the most current psychological research and ensure she is up to date with the latest evidence based clinical practice by completing
her continuing professional development (CPD).
Claire is extensively trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Dialectical
Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Claire is also an accredited Triple P Provider which means she is recognised as a qualified provider of Triple P (Positive Parenting
Programs) to parents and other carers of children and adolescents. Claire has trained and worked in government and non-government agencies within Australia
including community health, hospital and university clinic settings.
Claire has experience working with psychological assessment and intervention of adults, adolescents and children who present with a range of clinical
disorders and concerns including: depression, anxiety, stress, adjustment difficulties, grief and loss, anger, substance use, trauma, disordered eating,
bullying and other behavioural or emotional problems. She also has experience working with children and adolescents who have Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity
Disorder (ADHD) or are on the Autistic Spectrum.
When not working Claire enjoys cooking with fresh herbs from her garden, playing netball, spoiling her two cats and catching up with friends and family.
