The 8-week group program combines cognitive therapy with meditation techniques to help participants to become more aware of unhelpful ways of responding to stress, improve coping and develop a greater appreciation of the things we often take for granted.
There is overwhelming research that MBCT is effective in reducing distress and improving mental and physical well-being. There is particularly strong evidence for the effectiveness of MBCT for people experiencing relapsing depression, stress, pain, and chronic health conditions.
Treatment involves 8 x 120 minute group sessions, which will be delivered by a clinical psychologist who is highly experienced in MBCT.
